The story is about a boy, whose chicken lays a golden egg and a golden chick is born out of it. He sells the chick and has it fried for a merchant. However, unable to resist, the boy eats the whole thing and finds a wish-granting stone in it. He wishes for a palace, a queen, and a fortune. Meanwhile the merchant gets angry and while the young man is away hunting, deceives the queen, gets ahold of the stone, and wishes for the castle to be transported between two seas. When the boy returns from the hunt, he is devastated by the news, but a cat and a dog promise to help him. In this picture, we see the cat and the dog swimming through the sea to reach the palace.
