This fairy tale is about a king’s daughter who, in search of her 7 brothers, sets out on a very strange journey. She is very beautiful, so another ruler promises to marry her. While she is waiting, an evil old woman deceives her and throws her down the well, where the princess turns into a goldfish, and the old lady marries the king. Eventually the princess manages to turn back into a human and lives with the king happily ever after. In this illustration, the evil lady is climbing up the tree to the princess, in order to throw her down into the well.
