The tale is about the strange adventures of a brother and sister. The girl was very cruel and ate all of her family members; only the youngest boy managed to escape.  The illustration in the upper left corner shows one of the adventures the boy had after escaping from his sister. Here we see how the boy defeated a group of giants and cut off their heads.

The illustration on the lower left shows the last episode of this story, when the boy returned home to his sister, but the girl still wanted to eat him. She gave the boy a lute and told him to play some music while she went to prepare a meal for them, when in fact she was biding her in time to attack. Suddenly, a mouse appeared and told the boy to escape. When the boy ran away, the mouse began play the lute in order to deceive the girl.
